Andy started his Taekwondo training when he was 11 years old with World Champion(1996) Mr. Zhenyu Li from Korea in China. With 18 yrs training and over 10 years instructing experience, he is well-placed to pass his knowledge in a fun, safe and effective way. He also has 5 years experience in Break Dancing and Tricking which is a mixture of gymnastics and kicks. Andy not only focuses on the traditional aspects of Taekwondo but also developing his knowledge into kickboxing. He treats students individual and set up different goals for each student then help them achieve it.
Mike has been training martial arts for over 10 years and has gained 5 years of teaching experience. With his hard work and commitment, he achieved his black belt in 2013. Nowadays, he is not only coaching but also developing himself by attending Karate class and practicing on a regular basis.
With his experience and passion for teaching, he is able to develop the students to their full potential, all while maintaining a very high standard of instruction.
Mike has a professional manner, an excellent rapport with children, and fantastic communication with parents. He is the lead instructor for the Junior Kickboxing Program.
Coach Riccardo started training martial arts when he was 13 and hasn’t taken a break since.
Wanting to spread all things martial arts Riccardo found himself in assistant coaching and full coaching roles from the beginning.
Although having many years experience in self defence based martial arts, passion for all aspects of training has led Riccardo to compete continuously since his first karate tournament at age 13. Competing in a variety of combat sports from Eskrima to BJJ as well as MMA.
If there is one message coach Riccardo would like to share it is that Martial Arts are for everyone. It is always beneficial to train your body and your mind to be healthier.

Ian has been training in many arts from a young age but then found Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2007 and pursued this. He competes and trains all over the UK, Europe and the U.S. Ian is the lead Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at Checkmat Plymouth under his Black belt coach Marco Canha (Head of Fight Zone London). He has over 5 years experience coaching BJJ to adults, juniors and kids. He has also worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach at Plymouth Performance Gym.
